Hearts of Gold is a registered Ecuadorian nonprofit that works to boost the capacities of local community partners so that they can reach their unique goals. We work with the Cuenca Soup Kitchen, CETAP Lucy, El Arenal Foundation, OSSO Orphanage, Nova School, Kallpa Warmi, and Mirame.
Do you like helping others? Hearts of Gold needs volunteers to help in a variety of areas.
Things like:
-Event work
-Marketing
-Donation pickups
-Website maintenance
-Serving at our community partner sites
In the coming weeks, we have some specific volunteer needs. First, we need help selling tickets for a fundraiser. We are setting a calendar to sell tickets at the Saturday ferias, Sunrise Cafe and other events (trivia, bingo, etc). We would provide you with the tickets, cash box, poster and handouts. Then, after you finish, we could pick the items up from you.
Second, we scheduled our next garage sale for March 18 and 19. In preparation for that event, we will have weekly tagging sessions to sort and price the items that are donated. These sessions are usually Tuesdays at 10am. Then, on the days of the garage sale we will have shifts available to staff the event.
Third, we are recruiting people for our Event Committee. This group organizes small fundraisers to help support the foundation. Committee members attend two meetings per month and to help out during the events.
